ENGL C1000
Academic Reading and Writing
Need an OER quickly? Start with the curated options below. Each card shows the resource's likely role and strongest C1000 areas, with deeper planning guidance when available.
How these assessments are made: I develop a course rubric based on the Common Course Numbering (CCN) descriptor. AI applies the rubric to assess each OER’s coverage of course content and objectives. I check the assessments against the text and revise them as needed. These assessments offer a starting point for choosing resources, rather than evidence of classroom effectiveness. Educator reviews are linked where available.

Scan the teaching snapshot first. Open See Course Fit only when an option looks promising.
About external reviews: Review links appear only when reviews are available for that resource on Open Textbook Library (OTL) or MERLOT. Karen checks for new reviews every few months. A missing review link does not imply lower quality.
